The Hestia Fund does not accept unsolicited proposals.
Rather, our individual members research potential organizations to fund, and then nominate organizations to receive Requests for Proposals (RFPs). RFPs are sent out in September to organizations selected by the Hestia Grants Committee, and proposals are due in November. Hestia will only consider proposals from invited organizations.
Each year, Hestia Fund members conduct site visits to selected organizations following a proposal review and an intensive consideration of how an organization measures its efforts and outcomes, as well as leadership’s track record of accomplishments. Grants are distributed in the spring each year for use during the program year running from July-June.
The Hestia Fund approach is to fund selected organizations that have a transformational impact on the lives of participants with grants typically ranging from $25,000 – $50,000.

The Hestia Fund does not award grants for faith-based programs, fraternal organizations, international programs, conferences, historical restoration, capital campaigns, emergency funds, private foundations or individuals.
